Bathroom Details

Two years ago we visited Charleston, South Carolina, and stayed in a cute room with a small but well-ordered bathroom.

This glass shower at our suite in Charleston, SC, had the kind of glass finish we prefer.

This bathroom gave us some ideas for our own new bathrooms especially the one in the conservatory.

I was trying to use one of these cabinets over the toilet but the smaller one, which fit better, has a crack in the glass. And I’d have to get rid of the wavy top. And paint it.

While I was debating if we should hang a small cabinet over the toilet I remembered the top photo where there is a wall-hung towel bar complete with fluffy towels.

I’ve purchased 2 18-inch towel bars to hang on the front of the vanity after it is fully trimmed.

Since the only other place in the conservatory bathroom to hang large bath towels would be on the front of the vanity I decided we need bars in both places.

The Latitude Series by Gatco goes with the style of our Ikea faucet and Moen Arris showerhead.

In addition to the 2 towels bars I already bought for the front of the vanity I’ll need to purchase a 24-inch model for over the toilet.

The shower door handle is called the “counterpoint” style.

I also ordered a coordinating handle for the shower door which I think could double as a towel hook.

The conservatory bathroom is connected to the conservatory by a 36-inch door.

I love sitting on the loveseat in the conservatory and gazing into the new bathroom which is almost finished.

Do you coordinate or deliberately vary your decorative details? Or a combination of both?
