My Trash, Another Man’s Treasure

Our renovation contractor was shocked that I listed about 70 tons of rubble.

Tons of rubble at the back of our driveway divided the cottage from the house.

People wanted our rubble. All but about half a ton remained.

So when Charlie started cleaning up the scrap wood in the yard he piled it with the thought of taking it to the dump.

The Craigslist ad suggests uses: firepit, crafts.

Thinking I could save us a trip I posted it on Craigslist.

The toymaker gave us our pick of handmade wooden toys.

Believe it or not, a toymaker saw the ad and came over to get it.

The pile is dwindling. — The toymaker said he would go through a truckload of wood in a month.

He only wanted solid wood but he took a pick-up truckload of it.

We’ve heard from another person who is coming today to pick up the rest of the pile.
