Not Pink

I’ve been looking for new king-sized sheets at a good price in PALE PINK.

I finally ordered a set from Amazon.

The quality and feel of the sheets are nice.

Although pretty they’re not really pale and they’re decidedly not pink.

I washed these sheets with Charlie's pale pink shirts and these are much peachier.

The color is named “blush” and they’re more peachy than pink. Although they do go well with our fishy duvet cover I’m still on the hunt for pale pink.

The yellow sheet had seen its better days.

After receiving this sheet set I took one of our old, shredded sheets and made it into soft cotton rags.

Do you love the feel of old sheets on the bed? Or do you prefer crisp percale?

Welcome to The Glade, where the second generation of renovations has just begun and the mania about our home, music and other passions fill our days and nights. We’re Charlie and Jo in the music world; Mary Jo and Charles to family; and JoJo and Charlie to each other. We are renovating a midcentury house in a Victorian historic district where we want to live there the rest of our lives. It's a 1946 house located in Maryland. We were married in this house. Thus far (pre-blog) we refinished cabinets, added a window seat (still working on the cushion), rearranged a wall in the guest house due to sink/vanity replacement, planted a vegetable garden, and other quick and not-so-quick fixes. So this latest zeal for construction is the result of my having lived here since 1997 and feeling a need to ready the house for the next chapter and beyond.

  1. I’m a lover of fresh, crisp cotton sheets in summer, but come winter my old flannelette bedding is my idea of heaven, good luck with your hunt for pale pink sheets 🙂

    1. I read once that Jackie Kennedy Onasis had the sheets changed every morning and also after her afternoon nap. Ironed sheets. Hmmm. Jo
