By the time we mow our lawn the neighbors have already mowed theirs.
But our yard is filled with violets in spring.
Even though they spread like weeds, having large patches of tiny purple flowers is luxurious.
This year the violets are underpinning the lilac bush at the back of the potager.
After the grass is cut the yard looks much neater but the violets are mostly gone for another year.
What chore do you pout off as long as possible?
