A Little Touch Up

These 2 rise-and-fall-pendants hang over the island.

When the electrician put in the lights over the kitchen island he had to adjust the position of the fixtures and therefore we have had two white patches on the ceiling.

While I was painting the living room ceiling I pulled out the almost-empty can of kitchen ceiling paint in the same color, Edgecomb Gray.

The white spots have been covered (the bright spot in the photo is a reflection).

I also had the bright idea of painting the bright white ceiling air registers, too.

The air register in front of the kitchen window pendant was annoyingly white and shiny.

I painted them 2 light coats with a brush.

Next paint project: living room walls. I bought paint yesterday with a 20% discount coupon. Yippee!

Have you done any touching up lately?  Annoying? Satisfying?

Welcome to The Glade, where the second generation of renovations has just begun and the mania about our home, music and other passions fill our days and nights. We’re Charlie and Jo in the music world; Mary Jo and Charles to family; and JoJo and Charlie to each other. We are renovating a midcentury house in a Victorian historic district where we want to live there the rest of our lives. It's a 1946 house located in Maryland. We were married in this house. Thus far (pre-blog) we refinished cabinets, added a window seat (still working on the cushion), rearranged a wall in the guest house due to sink/vanity replacement, planted a vegetable garden, and other quick and not-so-quick fixes. So this latest zeal for construction is the result of my having lived here since 1997 and feeling a need to ready the house for the next chapter and beyond.

    1. I bought Revere Pewter for the living room and Moonshine for the upstairs hall. Boring I know but you’re right that 20% off paint is better than a $5 coupon. Jo
