Last year a friend gave me a pot of salvia. It was beautiful, blooming, all that.
I let it sit in the pot over the winter. It actually rooted into the ground while still in the pot so much so that Charlie had to actually dig it up.
Even though it had totally died back, this spring the salvia came back to life.
So I found a spot for it in front of the lilac bush at the entrance to the potager.
I’m sure it will boom again.
Until then it’s a bit of greenery.
