Watching the work get done on The Glade is a lot like watching a ping pong match.
First they work on the conservatory side.
Then they work on the kitchen side.
Some days different crews are working all around the house.
Our excavator was back to frame the molds for our new porches which will be poured concrete covered with blue stone. The landing in front of the soon to be front door can no longer be considered a stoop. It’s destined to be a real porch now.
The much-awaited side porch is also flashed and framed and ready to be poured.
The framers tried to stay out of the porch man’s way so they worked on the other side of the house and finished sheathing the conservatory and first floor bathroom roofs.
The conservatory gets a membrane roof.
The small bathroom roof gets traditional shingles.
