After Christmas we used a tablecloth that has been in my family since about 1960. I remember a Dutch friend giving the cloth and the matching napkins to my mother as a gift.
This cloth goes with almost any color scheme.
I guess I assumed it was from The Netherlands and I’ve always loved it.
Blue lines of stitching connect the more colorful elements.
The tablecloth fabric is an ecru shade with colorful cross-stitch of Dutch blue lines and bouquets of flowers.

My next chore is to remove the decades old stains (of which there are not too many considering the years of holiday use) from this heirloom.
The hanging corners are ornately stitched with baskets and wreaths of flowers.
