You can read about the Master List we’ve been working on for the past couple of years and our progress here. Now it’s time to declutter the list itself. I’m removing anything that has been accomplished, retaining things that still need work, and adding projects that require finishing or are just plain FUN.
Projects to Do:
- 1. Paint ironing board trim in laundry
Ironing Board trim needs to be painted white.
- 2. Recover desk chair
- 3. Paint green vanity
- 4. Move back door to laundry
- 5. Clean closet in Treetops room

- 6. Clean and paint kitchen door.
- 7. Scrape, sand, paint and move bedroom door.
- 8. Strip and repaint front door.
Newly washed the door looks much better but a paint job would help even more.
- 9. Scrape, sand and paint back bedroom door. Repair jamb.
- 10. Lighting for walk-in closet
- 11. Clean floor in cottage
The dark brown hardwood floor needs a good cleaning.
- 12. Paint trim in pink bedroom
The trim and this closet door need a fresh coat of white.
- 13. Refinish floor in laundry, kitchen and cottage
Our kitchen floor (which will become the mudroom floor) is hideous.
- 14. Replace trim in laundry
- 15. Finish closet in laundry
The closet needs a door and the wall needs a chairrail.
- 16. Lighting for master bath
- 17. Paint file cabinet in pink room
Here is faux bois at its tackiest. Nothing a little paint won’t cure.
- 18. Vanity and sink for master bath (choose style)
- 19. New sinks for kitchen
- 20. Refinish tall dresser
- 21. Refinish other tall dresser

- 39. Pick tile for bathroom
- 40. Recover desk chair
- 41. Decide where every lamp goes

Hoping there will be a wall on the first floor large enough for this painting when the renovation is complete.

- 50. Hang photo gallery in upstairs hall
- 51. Put shelves in pink room and paint stunning color at back of shelves
- 52. Fix the front door knob so it works and you can open and use front door
- 53. Clean basement and add utility shelves under the steps.
- 54. Design garden plan for back of yard behind the cottage.
- 55. Remove terrace and porches to start renovation.
This porch is being removed to accomodate a new conservatory.
- 56. Set up the iron headboard in the treetops rooms.
- 57. Open an Etsy shop.
- 58. Fix and put back into place the marble bench.

A lot on the list
We are the same way. We have a lot on ours as well. We try to work in order — though we review and revise that order (and add things) based on finances, time, and what just makes sense for us.
