Give Me a Starting Date

About 2 years ago Charlie and I began seriously thinking about putting an addition on The Glade.

The Glade - get ready old girl.

We hired an architect who took over a year to draw plans.

We contacted 4 contractors to bid on the job. Two contractors are still working on numbers. (The other two were way high with their estimates.)

The new conservatory and full bathroom will go here.

We submitted our plans to the local historic commission and passed muster.

I’m ready to start.  I want to start in March at the latest.  I want to be on someone’s schedule.  I want to make it happen.

We should be started by the time the dogwood begins to bloom.

I’m declaring the next phase of renovating The Glade is about to begin.

Do you tread water for a while then all of a sudden break out in full-tilt racing mode? Or does slow and steady win the race for you?

Sidebar: My idea of getting started was to call Charlie and encourage him into “I’m on it” mode.  We’ll be moving in a positive direction soon I’m sure.
