I painted the little kitchen cabinet we use in the kitchen to hold our coffee grinder.
The little white knobs on the cabinet were wood but had been marked up by someone with pink majic marker.
I painted them.
As I did when painting these ceramic Christmas trees last year I sprayed one color over another while they were both wet. Normally I would have used satin nickel and metallic charcoal together.
I couldn’t get any paint out of the almost full can of satin nickel spray. I held it upside-down, rightside-up, shook it, talked to it — NOTHING! I’ve always had an issue with these squeeze trigger cans. They don’t work well for me.
After heavily priming the knobs I sprayed on some bright silver followed by a couple of shots of metallic charcoal. There’s no real technique here except “Do it fast.” This is wet on wet spray painting. The colors mix themselves.
Make it darker or lighter according to your own preference.
I experiment with paint.
What’s your medium of experimentation?
Sidebar: Actually my plan was to use different knobs on the little coffee cabinet but I couldn’t get them to stay on so the original ones would have to do. Harumph.
