We have been declutttering the Cottage attic and, like everyone I suppose, we found boxes of old books.
We still have 2 sets of books that we had tried selling on Craigslist with no success.
Rather than take these books to Goodwill, we have a unique place in Baltimore called The Book Thing. It’s not fancy but it accepts donations of books.
The best part about The Book Thing is that the books are free to anyone who would like them.
Charlie and I really didn’t want to bring any more books back to The Glade but we couldn’t resist a few garden books.

Martha Stewart’s Gardening is $44.32 on Amazon. We snagged it for FREE.
Crockett’s Victory Garden can be bought from $3 to $140 but we walked away with it for FREE.

Crockett’s Victory Garden is a go-to source for vegetable gardening.
Check out The Book Thing’s website for details on location, hours and how it works. They do have a limit on how many books one person can take: 150,000 books per person per day. (That’s not a typo.)
Does your community have any really unique and wonderful organizations?
