Yes, we’re back from our all too short sojourn to a house that won’t give up. The bathroom tub is still clogged even after trying another full bottle of Drano (why yes, we’re going for the guaranteed results refund). We also tried the wet vac set on suck then on blow. (Why yes, it does both suck and blow.)
We tried plunging, liquid plumber, the pressure washer and the wet vac.
The leak Charlie fixed under the Cottage sink does still have a small leak. Drip, drip, drip.
Not quite fixed yet.
I was all ready to rearrange the kitchen so we could repair the wall behind the fridge which has been removed to give the refrigerator a scosh more room.

We moved everything out then I realized we would have to seriously reroute the water line to the ice maker. Charlie says he can bring it up through the floor.
The waterline to the ice maker is a long coiled piece of copper tubing.
The Cottage floor still needs to be laid. The toilet replaced. The Cottage attic insulation installed. The attic organized. Getting rid of lots of stuff.
The current brick-patterned flooring and the new wood-patterned vinyl.
Projects in the cottage include finishing Charlie’s old chest of drawers.
The chest is almost stripped.
Oh, don’t forget about the laundry in the house. It still needs the closet to be finished, trim and a chest of drawers moved out.
The closet needs a door and the wall needs a chairrail.
And I want to paint the bedroom.

I came to your site looking for plastic plugs in a curtain rod…LOL I don’t know how that happened but I am very glad it did. I found your site to be most amusing and we have kindred houses. While you have backed up plumbing I have a zillion electrical problems that I am trying my best to resolve in the most cost efficient manner without burning the place down. LOL. Great site. I will be a faithful follower. I also need to take your cue on how you did your photos with the captions. I really like that.
